Happy September lovelies!
This week has turned out to be a really nice one, I've deliberately seemed oblivious to negativity even when it pokes me right in the eye. To share a couple of those good things; I found out that Chelsea Wolfe, one of my all-time favourite female singers, is coming to our little Northern country after all! And now I have a precious ticket for the evening! First I thought her tour would skip us but heavens no. I haven't heard Russian Circles before but I'm sure I'll enjoy them, they can't be all bad if they pair up with Ms.Wolfe. And the tour poster is just bleak and beautiful.
I really recommend this gig if you're into melancholic female voices, dreamy sound landscapes and great talent.
Pizza is also a good source of joy, and this one was heavenly so I just had to share it. Self-picked winter mushrooms, smoked tofu, sliced red onions, sun dried tomatoes and the usual tomato smash on the bottom. And not a single drop of dairy, because I am not a calf. Delicious! I could survive through summer with raw smoothies but autumn makes me long for cooking, especially stews, hot soups and mushroom delicacies. It invokes some dormant homemaker side in me which feels a little scary..
Today I'll be heading towards the woods for berry and mushroom hunting with my mom. I hope the forest will offer us plenty of those treats!
That pizza looks delicious, do you make your own dough?
ReplyDeleteAnd have fun in the forest! I hope you'll find lots of berry's and mushrooms!
Yes, I always make it from scratch! It's quick, easy and much more yummier, and I use mainly spelt flour and organic wheat flour mixed up, so it's also healthier than the dough from the store. :) And thank you, I just came back from our first hunting trip and caught a lot of those babies, yay! I can hear the call of the mushroom pie. ^^
DeleteHello, beautiful! You look perfect as always. :3
ReplyDeleteOne question: what do you use to prepare your smoothies? I've been trying to find the right device for aaages.
Much love xxx
Hello there, and thank you! <3 At the moment I use a stick mixer, but it isn't great. I definitely recommend getting a quality blender if you want to make a lot of smoothies! I've been thinking about investing in one for ages, they make smoothies so much more easily and the outcome is, well, smoother. :) So a really sturdy blender would be the best choice.
DeleteYou are so lucky for seeing Chelsea Wolfe! That woman is a pure goddess <3 Have fun!Love your blog!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much! I missed her last gig and definitely won't skip this one, can't wait to hear her live sound! :)
DeleteAh, that witchy feeling. I love it.

Autumn just does that, it feels like everything around you could contain some magic if you look close enough. I'm glad I'm not the only one to feel this way!
DeleteChelsea <3 I'm going to the gig too, of course! Have you already listened to the new album? It's awesome,I just love love love "The Waves Have Come" <3 Ja miksköhän kirjoitin enkuksi.. :D
ReplyDeleteHihi, kumpikin kieli käy mainiosti! Uutta albumia oon kuunnellut muutaman kipaleen verran vasta, onko se jo kokonaan vuotanut nettiin? The Waves Have Come on kyllä ihana. Ja ihanaa että tulee tuttujakin kasvoja keikalle, siellä nähdään kenties! :)
DeleteMä kuuntelin sen ihan laillisesti Pitchforkista advancena :D Toivottavasti nähdään joo! :)
DeleteI am quite envious that you're going to see Chelsea Wolfe! I was looking at her tour dates a couple of weeks ago with a sad longing and the amazing poster caught my eye immediately! I wouldn't mind displaying that in a frame! I hope you have an excellent time and if you can break out of the mesmerised state for long enough to snap a few pictures that would be lovely to see! You should definitely follow her on instagram when you manage to find a way around the problem! ♥
ReplyDeleteAt live concerts I much prefer to just absorb the atmosphere and concentrate on the present so I often forget to take pictures, but I'll try to snap a few moments to share. :) And oh, the problem. There's still no solution, but I'm getting there!
DeleteDo you have a boyfriend anymore/are you single? :o
ReplyDeleteI'm happily in a relationship. :) What gave you the impression I'm single?
ReplyDeleteKannattaa ehdottomasti tutustua! :)
DeleteThis food-spiration came at just the right time; I'm working very hard at working the vegan lifestyle into my already vegetarian one. :3
ReplyDeleteOh I'm so happy to hear that! I could share some more foods if you like? I'm right there with you on the journey, it's the best path for body and soul alike. ^^
DeleteHomemade pizza is the best. Specially when it is vegan! thank you for telling us the ingredients, and what a detail to pick up your own mushrooms, I think it makes it extra delicious.
ReplyDeleteAnd every outfit of yours is so elegant yet simple, also comfy, is that because of the autumn? personally I could not live without black leggings and dark tones tights, but lately I've been including ochre in my clothing, I'm fascinated by the colour of the leaves. You're right, it's some witchy feeling (:
No problem, I'm glad if someone enjoyed the listing! There's plenty of mushrooms growing in the nearby forests so of course I pick them when I find some, I think I might go for a little hunt again tomorrow. :) Organic local food at its best!
DeleteAnd thank you so much, I do believe that autumn has created some level of comfort in my outfits. Autumn is also the best season in creativity for me so the outfits must abide by those needs. I do not wonder that you've started to include ochre, I think it suits many people so wonderfully although on me it doesn't work at all. Or maybe I'm just too picky on choosing which colour to wear, black seems to be "a little" dominating in my wardrobe. :D
I love how you decorate your home! ♥
ReplyDeleteIf you can't use Instagram, I can highly recommend "EyeEm". It's a small but very likeable start-up from Germany. There's also a great community of photographers, beautiful filters and you are not limited to squared pictures ;-)
Well, I like it there.
Thank you! I've never heard of such community, but I might check it out. :)
DeleteOih, haluaisin tuonne keikalle, mutta en varmaan saa sinne seuraa. Vähän sosiaalikammoisena en ole hyvä lähtemään yksin. :(
