8: In the blood of winter, you may crush my soul

Once in a while I get this odd feeling that tries to force me into pairing vintage looks with massive, gothy boots. And I obey it, especially because the two are not an obvious match! Opposites always hold a certain fascination, even in style. So here's one of those outfits, taken today on a leisurely Sunday stroll that turned into grocery hunting.

Boots are second hand Pennangalans (I like to call them Edward), tarot earrings from BloodMilk, coat is an old gift from mom, gloves from Sokos, bag is vintage and scarf thrifted.

Ok, now I really must stop this blogging business and get back to the drawing
commission that I must finish t-o-d-a-y. Or the hounds of hell will come and claim me.
Ta ta loves!

    1. Oh thank you so much! I believe in that too, staying warm doesn't mean that one should throw style out of the equation.

    1. I have no idea, I haven't measured it! But I'd estimate it's over 70cm at the moment?

  6. I envy your skills to be able to walk in the snow with those high heels! It scares me a lot, I only wear docs in snow.
Love the way you glow when snow is around you, those pics are perfect :)

    1. Thank you! Winter soles in high heels help with the snow, but I admit, they're still a little slippery and I need to mind my step a little more than usual. I would be scared to wear docs in snow, I've heard from my friends that the rubber soles are super slippery? And I couldn't wear docs anyway, I tried them on a couple of times but the arch in my foot is too curved for them and so they hurt a lot. :(

    2. I woudn't say docs are slippery. I have a very sure step when I wear them. You can't wear docs, but you can wear heels! I'm forced to wear flats for the rest of my life or I might end up not walking at all when I'm 60. I envy you for your heeled looks! It's way more tricky to be feminine with flats.

  8. I'am always wondering how could you walk with these heels in the snow? If I would do that, I would immediately hit the ground! :D By the way, this is a very lovely coat and I'm sorry for what's happen to your others.

Varmaan muakin odottaa Miyazaki/Studio Ghibli -maraton joululomalla ! :)
