So many photos I've taken these past two months, left to gather virtual dust in the files.
So many words that I deleted and never posted here, but felt like I had.
As the cloud fortresses inside my head started to clear up I finally logged in today. Was pretty shocked to see that again the sands of the hourglass have shifted into desert dunes. I could have been hiding for just a couple of weeks from where I'm standing! So many things I wanted to share with you but always lost track of time. But I guess the time off was needed, I've managed to settle in this city better and I'm starting to feel the urge to connect again. Loss of time is a plague among the unemployed and the freelancer folk, so good tips for effective time management are warmly welcomed.
At the moment I'm dwelling in near isolation, tip-toeing around the place in old home robes and messy hair like some tormented Victorian heroine, ink pens stucked inside the pockets and sketch papers lying everywhere. I have a new lover, his name is Wacom (ed.the drawing tablet) and for the time being we are tightly in a symbiosis, trying to figure each other out. Our love nest is in the corner of my couch, and that's where I'll be hatching the custom prints I direly need to finish in the days to come, so it's busy times ahead again. I'll talk to you doves as soon as I can. ♥
Moth , I enjoy the silence of his absence to read everything on your blog !
ReplyDeleteIn my twenty -five candles, I learned that time only ceases to be our friend if you are missing something for him and us ...
I hope you are yourself.
"The glory is all the more delayed the more lasting is to be , because all delicious fruit ripens slowly" (Schopenhauer)
P.S : I l ♥ ve the second photo !!!
Thank you for your kindness Kaline! :)
DeleteI missed you deeply.
ReplyDelete<3
I missed you guys too! <3 <3
DeleteI just LOVE your photos. Really. Do you have an Instagram account?
ReplyDeleteThank you Natasha! I do, but it's hidden and I haven't used it in ages. I think I might just delete the photos and start all over again!
Deleteihanaa, uusi postaus! käyn valehtelematta päivittäin tarkistamassa oletko päivittänyt ja selailen vanhoja postauksia tasaiseen tahtiin. kuulostan vaanijalta, mutta blogisi on vain niiiiin inspiroiva. :D
ReplyDeleteVoi eih miten ihana olet, kiitos kommentista! <3
As usual you are truly wonderful. I wish you to find happiness and peace of mind with your new lover. Meeting someone new is always like a new page to write in the book of your life. Turning a page demands courage and patience, but it's worthing it.
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing your pictures and thoughts with us, be happy!!! :-)
Kisses from France,
Annatar.
Thank you Annatar!
DeleteThere seems to be a huge misinterpration, my new lover is Wacom, as in Wacom drawing tablet! I just wrote about it so gently, as I spend a lot of my time with it now, hehe. ;) I'm so sorry to have caused any distress!
I am sooooooo sorry!!!! I'm not really into technologies and didn't know the name of this tablet at all! I'm happy to know I was totally mistaken! Again, I'm deeply sorry! ^^'
DeleteAnnatar
Annatar, it's such a funny thing that your comment was totally right, now that some time has passed and I'm finally able to respond! I thank you for your wishes, both have come true in my life. ♥
DeleteLovely words and photos from a lovely lady. While in between jobs, I used a dry erase board to make a list of things I wanted and needed to do the next day and another section for the same for the upcoming week. It was more of a guideline, nothing pressuring - I was happy if I at least got 2 or 3 things done. You can make a nice one from a beautiful frame and glass with a plain background and just draw and erase directly on the glass! I also used the time to learn something new - which it looks like you are already doing! Much happiness and luck to you and your new lover! :D I don't know if that helps. At any rate, I am sure you will find the right something that works just for you. <3
ReplyDeleteThank you sweetie! Your idea sounds great, I should give it a try! I love making lists and I do have a massive "to do"-list, but those lists just disappear in the mountains of other paper stuff. I should really dig into organizing, as it has never been my strongest quality, but I seem to get a mental rash whenever I think about "maps" or "files" or "paperwork" in general. :D
DeleteBut I think the worst strain between effective time use and me is that I'm a highly addictive person, so if I have an interesting book or an article or a game or anything, it's hard to stop and do other stuff in between. Anyway, I'm sure that organizing abilities can grow when trained, so I should just keep on methodically making those to do-lists!
Ohhh yes, I have a similar problem when it comes to fun things, everything else slips away. I keep trying though! It's hard to be an adult even after being one for quite some time now. But it is also fun, too! :)
DeleteBeing an adult is way too hard sometimes! Especially the management of time, phew. Sure the adult life brings incredible things into your life, but sometimes I just wish I could crawl back into my mother's womb..
DeleteYay! You're back! I missed you.
ReplyDeleteGood to have you back <3 Really missed the wonderful photos and hearing your thoughts!
ReplyDeleteThank you deeply!
DeleteA little sad to hear that your past relationships gone... You've told such kind things about him, especially about the day when you saw him in the suit of pirate. It was so touching... I hope my words don't hurt you. I understand very well your situation. Just be happy with no regrets! <3
ReplyDeleteOh no it's not gone! The text seems to have created misunderstandings, I'm so sorry. I was referring to my new drawing tablet as my new lover, as I spend a lot of time with it now, cradling it in my lap. The pirate man is still breathing in the room next to me, and he also has a lover called Wacom!
Delete:D
DeleteIt's funny! I am glad that you are ok, and, of course, you don't have to apologize for my awkwardness%) So sorry Darkling!
Glad to see you back. :)
ReplyDeleteI'm a freelancer, too, and I know how fast and unnoticed time can pass by on days with no impending deadline and pressure. I cannot give any practical tips except not to waste too much precious time on the internet, but besides that I noticed for myself that I really need the free time between jobs to recuperate. So I think you shouldn't give yourself too much grief for letting things slide from time to time when there is no urgent need.
Mata ne
Internet, books and wine, I guess those are my worst enemies! Free time between jobs is an excellent idea, it's easier to focus on one project than layering your time with three.
DeleteHow nice reading you again, and finding out that you are still gorgeous. I always love to have a glimpse of your melancholic-sweet posts, Everyone needs some time off from time to time, relax, think, hibernate and breath all the posibilities.
ReplyDeleteI perfectly understand the lover issue as I have to share my beau with his other love a Wacon as well. Lots of blissful wishes from the other side of the world.
:3 Tisha
Thank you for your deep kindness, Tisha. ♥
DeleteI have a few neurological issues that make time management more of a challenge for me. These are a few things I find help:
ReplyDeleteI partition my day, if I don't have a strict schedule of appointments or things I have to be at, into three - morning, evening, and afternoon, and set myself a list on a whiteboard of things I want to get done in each of those sections. It's important not to try and make yourself do too much, because otherwise you will feel like you are getting behind. I also say, if something is likely to suck me in and swallow my whole day, that I will only do it until a specific time, and set an alarm to remind me to stop when that time comes around. Another thing I do when I have blocks of time off (e.g holiday times, as I work at a school) is try and do one thing out of the house every day, even if it is just gardening or walking a short way - not only does this give my day some focal activity for which I must get dressed, ready and prepped for, but it helps with things like anxiety, low mood etc. which can get worse if I coop myself up in the house.
Sometimes I feel like I should get myself examined for similar issues, it shouldn't be this hard to manage time.
DeleteYour tips seem very helpful, thanks so much for sharing them!
Good to see you back with these stunning pics, as usual! :)
ReplyDeleteThank you Erika!
DeleteOi, tätä on odotettu enemmän kuin ilikeää myöntää! Ihana että postailet taas. ^_^
ReplyDeleteVoi Veera, kiitos ihanasta kommentista ja anteeksi kun väli venähti taas tämän postauksen jälkeen!
DeleteIt's always a delight to see you post! Can't wait to see the new creations you'll create with your Wacom. <3
ReplyDeleteThank you Sophie! I've abandoned Wacom for a while but I'll try to get back to it. I just love drawing with actual pens so much more. :3
DeleteDear Moth,
ReplyDeleteSo good to "read" you again.
I really miss your pictures, if you start a public Instagram account please let us know !
Your nickname is used, but by a hot guy with long hair wearing barbarian's costume... So I forgive him !
And Moth, stop dating electronical stuff will you, it seems hard to follow now :D
The nickname struggle in IG is real, all my usual ones and variations seem to be taken. Dammit! But if the guy is hot then he's surely forgiven. :D I should just pick a surreal one and stick to that I guess.
DeleteI have to say, that couch is beautiful. Its condition, the beautiful colors - especially the soft, muted gray-purple cushions! Wow!!
ReplyDeleteThank you, it is beautiful but I should fix it as it's falling apart in the middle..
DeleteBeautiful! Your posts bring me inspiration for life!!!

ReplyDeleteVieläkö muuten harrastat derbyä?
Ihana kommentti, mua muutenkin jo itkettää kun luen näitä! Kiitos. <3
DeleteEn ikävä kyllä harrasta enää. :< Ei ole uudessa kaupungissa enää varaa eikä aikaa, enkä pysty näin epävakaassa elämäntilanteessa sitoutumaan joukkuetoimintaan. Harmittaa kyllä, derby on ihan mahtava juttu! Käyn kyllä katsomassa aina kun pelejä täällä on.
Missä sinä olet?
ReplyDeleteKateissa olin, kauan.
DeleteCome back <3!
ReplyDelete<3
DeleteWhere have you gone, you wonderful being? We miss you!

ReplyDeleteMukava kuulla, kiitos. Uskon että palaan jossain välissä, on vaan tapahtunut niin paljon kaikkea etten ole kyennyt postailemaan.
DeleteMaija, missä oot? :O
ReplyDeleteKadoksissa olin, kivun ja rakkauden välimaastossa.

ReplyDeleteIhana kommentti, kiitos. <3

ReplyDeleteThank you for your words!
DeleteHello Moth, have have you been during the recent months? You mentioned that you moved to a new city and I hope everything is going well for you! I'm also moving to a bigger city soon and I'm happy and scared at the same time. I'm leaving a pretty good job, but I've lived here all my life and I believe it's time for me to move on :-)
ReplyDeleteHi Regn! Recent months have been a trial and a bliss, like two sides of the same coin. I'm still struggling to find my place in this city but things have a tendency to work out eventually.
DeleteI really hope everything works out great in your new life, if there's even an inkling of the "I have to move on"-feeling lingering in you, you're definitely on the right path! Much love and courage to you. <3
Craving your posts ;) .....
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear that. :)
DeleteI really miss your updates. I`ve been following your blog for years and your absence here is like losing an old good friend.
ReplyDeleteI feel like I'm tearing up again, thank you for your words Sarah. My blog will continue at some point but it might be somewhere else, so much has happened during my absence and I feel changed.
