Our Yule tree is yet again a little unconventional. Last year's tree was much more to my liking with its organic branches, but sadly it was crushed during the attic misfortunes. It was much loved (I kept it in the house for months and months) and I think next year I'll create a similar one. But for now, there's a miniature Yggdrasil in our home! (Not a world tree in any way, but I like the word so there you have it.)
Originally the tree was designed by Pentik, but I cut it down from a second hand shop. It might be a tiny bit kitschy but we enjoy it very much. Especially when the candles are lit, making the teardrop ornaments create glimmering shadows on the wall.
Teidän kotinne sisustus on niin kaunis! Ah. ^-^

DeleteI love the way you decorate your nest. I look forward to have a place that only belongs to me, and create a cabinets of curiosities with wonders like these :)
ReplyDeleteBy the way, you mention Lovecraft a lot, have you ever heard of the boardgames Arkam Horror and Elder sign? They are based on Lovecraft universe, it's worth a glimpse.
Thank you! I have heard of those, but unfortunately I'm not a big fan of board games. I don't quite have the patience for them!
DeleteOi tuo on niin ihana koriste.. ^^ niin kaunis!
ReplyDeleteOn se kieltämättä aika kaunis, meni vaan hetki tottua löydökseen. :)
DeleteVoi miten ihana <3 Pidän kummastakin puusta!
ReplyDeleteMinustakin Yggdrasil on jo sanana kaunis sen lisäksi, että koko maailmanpuumyytti on kiehtova.
