Wanted to share these photos from the heart of winter before the season drips slowly away.
I can't believe winter is withering away so soon, there weren't even remotely enough freezing days for my taste. This winter was far from easy and I was mentally hibernating for the greater part, but in the spring I get ridiculously nostalgic about winter. Clinging to the memory of glittering fields, silent woods and all the dear dead flowers. The animal prints in the virgin snow and the distant winter sun, and even the cold that sucks all warmth from your bones.

Looking at these photos I'm reminded of one thing: you know your sister must love you when there's almost -20 degrees outside and she still agrees to follow you on a snowy field to capture a few frames.
Taas kerran niin upeita kuvia :) Olet vaan niin kaunis ♥
ReplyDeleteKaunis kiitos kehuista! <3
Deletewe got a few days around -15 degrees this winter and I almost died XD I don't like winter, and I don't like cold. And I moved from sunny, warm seaside to continental, cold part. Very smart decision....haha :D
ReplyDeleteOther than that you look stunning, like an ice fairy :)
Hehe, I just made the exact opposite move, from the icy Eastern border to the warmer Western side! "What is this sissy excuse for winter!" crossed my mind at first but a friend of mine told me this city can get really cold too. I guess it was just a mellow winter in general. I think -10 to -15 is the best kind of cold, but I don't mind the -30 degrees either. Makes me feel like I need to survive in a post apocalyptic world, so I take those days as an adventure. :D
DeleteAnd thank you so much!
Gorgeous. I love the softness of snow but from a distance.

Thank you, Avy!
DeleteSuch a Winter wonderland! It looks so peaceful.
ReplyDeleteThe white landscape does feel peaceful, it's one of my favourite things about winter. Everything is so clear and deathly quiet, I really enjoy it.
DeleteWow. Wonderful photos <3
ReplyDeleteThank you :)
DeleteWow! In Poland we have spring actually ;) I don't miss for winter, but on your photos it looks beautiful.
ReplyDeleteWe're quickly moving towards it in here, too. Sun has been blazing like crazy this week!
DeleteVoi jestas miten kauniita kuvia ja kaunis sinä! <3 Näytät aika upealta valkoisessa. Onko se vintagea?
ReplyDeleteVoi ihana, kiitos paljon!
DeleteJuu, mekko on vintagea, löytyi yhden puodin nurkasta Budapestista samaan aikaan sen Halloween-mekon kanssa. :) Valkeita mekkoja käytän itse asiassa aika paljonkin (harvemmin vaan eksynyt blogin puolelle), oon erityisen mieltynyt näihin pitkiin, valkeisiin vintagelöytöihin.
Lovely photos!!! Those rose photos are perfect! And you look great, too. This winter was a disappointment for me, I prefer cold and sunny days rather than those cloudy +1 days...
ReplyDeleteThank you so much Anniina! <3 I got so lucky with the roses, they looked like that for one morning only.
DeleteAnd I agree, the cold days are better than the slushy grey ones.
absolutely wonderful pictures!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much Frilly!
DeleteAivan uskomattomia, jälleen kerran. :)
ReplyDeleteKiitos paljon!
DeleteMagnificently lovely photos - their beauty, and yours, is enough to warm even the most winter chilled of souls.
ReplyDelete♥ Jessica
Thank you for your beautiful, kind words Jessica! <3
DeleteBeautiful :)
ReplyDeleteLovely shots! It really looks calm and quiet. I really like your ring!
ReplyDelete~ Tea
Thanks so much! I love the ring too, it was a secret gift from my boyfriend.
DeleteYou are very beautiful, but dear, your hands are so ugly and hard like the hands of a witch!
ReplyDeleteAren't they the hands of a witch? ;)
DeleteBut truly, I would be amazed if my hands would have looked good in the pics, they were almost at the point of frostbite!
reaction here: this is not real, is that real? SO perfect :-O the landscape and you, love the pics!
ReplyDeleteI deeply thank you for your kindness!
Deletewow, freakin' amazing!
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteWOW!! Your blog really never disappointes me, these pictures are beyond wonderful. Moreover, you look amazing in white, as usual you are truly beautiful, a real winter goddess. Thank you for sharing all this beauty with us.

Annatar.
My humble and deep thanks, Annatar!
DeleteI'm so glad you enjoyed the photos, I know winter isn't the same everywhere so I wanted to share them, no matter how late I am with posting them. :) Sending you spring kisses and wishes too!
Beautifull as allways:) I was wondering something, since you like to wear vintage things, have you ever thought about energy from previous owners that maybe stays "trapped" in them? Or do you even believe in such kind of things?:)
ReplyDeleteThank you Rosie! I have thought about that many times, especially with my small collection of black dresses from the 40's (funeral dresses, I imagine). I love wearing them but some of them feel different, and I can't help thinking if they belonged to some Finnish war widow. Like there's little drops of grief and memories stuck into them like sweat. But it doesn't prevent me from wearing them, I love vintage too much!
Deletebeautifull photos!! You are absolutely wonderful :)
ReplyDeleteYou're too kind Raquel, thank you!
DeleteOh Moth , thank you for sharing these beautiful images! My eyes were watering , once said and I repeat : You are a great inspiration !!!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much Kaline! <3
DeleteI don't miss winter although we just had snow once. I like spring way more :) but the picture in this post are really amazing, I love them! You look like a beautiful ice queen :)
ReplyDeleteThanks so much Leeri! :)
DeleteLovely pics!
ReplyDeleteI agree. We didnt even have a winter over here in south Sweden, maybe a week or two of snow... sigh.
But hey, spring is awesome too, and let's hope for a badass winter next time! I also need my dose of coldness. ^^
Thank you! Somehow I feel more comfortable in the cold, although I do sometimes enjoy trips to the warmer climate and the occasional Finnish sauna. I'm not quite as excited about spring as it usually brings deep waters of depression with it, but I'm trying my best to stay afloat this spring! :)
DeleteMielettömän upeita kuvia! Ei lisättävää.
ReplyDelete-Sarianna
Suurkiitokset!
DeleteWonderful...
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteDear mothy (just felt like giving you a cute nickname!), what happened to your septum? I mean, you look beautiful, gorgeous, and stunning with and without, but is there a specific reason why you dont wear it? :)
ReplyDeleteHugs!!
Aww, loving the nickname!
DeleteI hadn't even noticed the absence of septum in the photos! I didn't wear it regularly for about a couple of months, as I was scouting for apartments and jobs but mainly because I wanted to feel how it was to be more neutral. Not like that helped at all with my applications, (seriously, no effect although people can usually be so conservative), but basically I wanted to know how I'd feel without it. And it felt so weird not having it on! I think it grew on me during the years we've been stuck together. :)
...Great, great job Moth.Glad to see you're levitating on that magical ground and that you brought us little piece of this magnificent atmosphere :) ...
ReplyDeleteThank you Velyra! :)
DeleteIhania kuvia! Pakko vaan tulla kommaamaan kun menin niin hämilleni amazonia selaillessani, kun tuttu naama pärähti eteen... :D

Kiitos! Juu, itekin aina hätkähdän kun jossain näkyy katalogikuvia, jotenkin maagisesti aina unohdan olleeni kameran edessä. :D
DeleteEverything in this post is beautiful! I dream of going to Finland in the winter some day. Thank you so much for sharing!
ReplyDeleteYou must come some winter Deborah, it's beautiful here. :) I'm missing winter already!
DeleteOh! I'm the same kind as you! I really like winter and I get a bit sad when it all melts away and revealing the brown ground and dried grass. I think february and march are great winter months if it's cold enough. The photo of the frosen roses is lovely and it was a surprise to find you dressed in white. Lovely photos all of them!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much linnea-maria! I wear white pretty often actually, mainly in vintage lace dresses, but black will always be my number one colour.
Deleteyou look incredibly beautiful
ReplyDeleteThank you kindly Luna!

DeleteDarling, do you have an instagram?
ReplyDeleteBeautiful blog. I'm in love. <3
Thank you! I kind of have an account, but I'm going to delete it and start over again, as I never remember to update in its current state. :D
DeleteThat's great news! I'd love to follow you on Instagram. I think you might like posting there since it's a lot quicker to post a little update than to write a whole blogpost :-)
DeleteWonderful place! I hope you can visit my place (Blog)
ReplyDeleteHello, Mothmouth. How have you been and are you alright? I'm visiting your blog every day to see if you have posted because I find it the most interesting I've come across in a long time and I'm starting to worry since you haven't been posting in months. I really hope nothing serious has occurred. Best wishes!
