The silver ornaments from the previous post found their place today! On the branches I picked from a dying tree in the nearby forest. No trees were harmed in the making of this DIY decoration, I assure you. :) Its ghostly form and colour are far from the traditional idea but oh, so is our family of two people and many imaginary animals (I'm sure some of you have heard of Edgar Allan Pug!). It is also the first fruit of Yule time decoration in this household and the very first Yule tree of our own, and I must say that it suits this home so neatly it might grow roots and stay here permanently.

Day 12: You're all lit up, like a Christmas tree

Such a beautiful decoration. I also own some white brunches in a vase, but my decoration is not as beautiful as yours!
ReplyDeleteThank you Leeri! :)
DeleteIt's beautiful - very elegant and austere looking, but in a good way! :o)
ReplyDeleteThanks! I think that austere is a good way in describing this decoration, even the bare details of nature are pretty. And the glittery balls do make it look a bit happier, I really enjoy the contradiction!
DeleteOh! Just perfect! I love your black candles.
ReplyDeleteThank you! I love black candles, this home is infested with them. :D
DeleteI love your Yuletide tree! Gorgeous! :)
ReplyDeleteI love your makeshift Christmas tree! So sparkly and wintery! I've seen a similar 'Hallowe'en tree' on Tumblr but the branches were black and it had mini pumpkins hanging from the branches! Such a neat idea! ~♥~
ReplyDeleteOoh, I haven't seen that one, sounds cool! I've been dying to make a decoration related to this idea for a long time. I might give that Halloween tree a try next year. :)
DeleteSo pretty, it looks like it belongs in a winter fairytale ^^
ReplyDeleteAww, what a wonderful way of looking at it!
DeleteI love the tree,it's perfect!

ReplyDeleteMe neither, this is the first time in the history of my independent living! :D But I've always enjoyed the visual aspect of pretty Christmas ornaments.

DeleteIhana idea! <3 Harmi etten voi ite tehä samanlaista, kun kissat nakertais noi oksat heti :/
ReplyDeleteKiitoksia! Mietinkin tän kohdalla että joskus on ehkä joku hyväkin puoli ettei taloudessa ole kissoja, olisi ollut tämäkin maljakkokin lattialla parin minuutin sisällä. :D Mutta ottaisin silti kissan enemmän kuin mitään muuta!
DeleteAhahaha repesin niin paljon tolle Edgar Allan Pugille :,,DD
