New year's look!
transformer dress Noctex / pants second hand (from sister's closet)
earrings Blood Milk / harness Tyra Therman
Unlucky 13 wasn't the easiest year on my list, not to get too much in the details but it was momentarily very rough. Above all it made me learn many things and for that I'm grateful. It would be too easy to blame the dark days and old wounds, so I choose to focus on the good parts and let the rest shed off. I don't want to jinx anything, but I have a feeling this year will be good and exciting! Did you make any resolutions?
Ihana idea nuo riimukynnet!
ReplyDeleteKiitoksia!
DeleteWell, I made a very realistic resolution - to learn how to prepare some pizza dough myself. :-) But usually, I make my resolutions all year round, when the right time comes. And what about you? Did you make any?
ReplyDeleteThat's a good one! And I think your decision is wise, it doesn't feel good to push yourself into something you're not ready for, the right time is always the best time to start doing something.
DeleteI didn't make any particular resolutions, more like goals. I want to let go of excess stuff in my life (both material and mental), travel even more than last year and paint, to name a few. :)
You look stunning. I love the detail of the runes.
ReplyDeleteMay all the luck in the world be with you this year.
xoxo

Thank you very much hon! I wish all the luck to you too.
DeleteI'm glad 2013 is finally over!
ReplyDeleteYou look gorgeous! I love the runes in nails ♥
Have a wonderful 2014!
Haha, me too! It was a tough one, but that's life; natural ups and downs and all we can do is swing along. And thank you, hope you have a wonderful 2014 too!
DeleteYour nails and you lashes are incredible! You look beautiful! I think 2013 was hard for many people, it was certainly very mixed for me, but I feel 2014 will be a special and magical year. I haven't made resolutions as such because I don't like to feel pressured, but I hope to travel more, draw more and build my business and my personal style.
ReplyDeleteThank you Polly! I've been wearing a lot of natural makeup lately so it felt nice to go with overly flamboyant lashes again, thehee. You're a girl after my own heart, I didn't make any strict resolutions either and I have the very same loose goals for this year. :)
DeleteIn 2014 i'll have a lot of exams which decide about my future, so it will be hard year !
ReplyDeleteYour outfit is gorgeous, i really love your blog. You're my inspiration :) Happy New Year
Greetings from Poland ! :)
xoxo Sophie
Oh no, I wish you strength and luck with your exams! You'll do great, don't worry. :) And I'm really happy to hear you enjoy my blog, thank you. Happy new year Sophie!
DeleteVery pretty dress and you are gorgeous as always (:
ReplyDeleteThank you very much! <3
DeleteThe rune nails are a great idea, the whole outfit is truely unique - but above that I'm convinced that I need that tunic in my life ever since you posted your first picture of it. ;)
ReplyDeleteI'm not in need of harsh changes, I only have some rather profane goals/wishes which I intend to realize (travelling, finally enrolling in that calligraphy class which I'm eyeballing now for ages and suchlike).
Hope that this year holds more bliss for you than the last one.
Thank you! The tunic is great especially on the road, as it can be transformed into so many different clothes. But I want to warn you though - the fabric isn't as good quality as I hoped for. I've used the tunic almost daily since I got it, but I still think it shouldn't have so much washing tuft yet. I hope Noctex will make a higher quality version of this tunic in the future. :) It's a great piece but I just wish the fabric was more sustainable.
DeleteTravelling is always a great goal! (Calligraphy sounds nice too!) I already have a few travelling plans in mind, hope I can fulfill some of them this year. Hope you can fulfill yours too! Some of mine are more long-term plans, I believe in low budget travelling but I simply can't afford a trip to Japan or Tibet yet, as much as I'd want to go.
Oh, sorry to hear that. I'm a big fan of convertible clothings, so I got immediately interested when you first showed it. I might give it a try anyways. :)
Delete(Judging from the pictures, I dare say the sewing pattern can't be that complicated, maybe it can be copied and sewn using sturdier fabric once it shows too much pilling?)
I've been dreaming of revisiting Japan for some years now, but yes, it's just so expensive. The last time I was seriously considering it was shortly before the Fukushima catastrophe happened, but that definitely won't put me off in the long term. And in the meantime, there's so many other places to see. What do you have in mind for this year?
The pattern is really simple so it wouldn't be hard to make another. It's always better to support the original designers though, so I hope they'll make a sturdier version. :)
DeleteOh, lucky you to have been in Japan! The Fukushima ordeal was (and is) a horrible thing, but I'm sure it won't stop people from visiting that beautiful country. I'd love to go through the islands with a backpack, I feel more interested on the nature and the northern regions than Tokyo. Although I want to visit it as well! And this year's plans, hmm..I have another trip to central Europe in mind. One country is certain and another one is a suprise, I let my boyfriend choose the destination.
wow, oletpa upea. mistä löytyy tuollaisia harness -juttuja?
ReplyDeleteKiitos hurjan paljon! <3 Harnessin ostin Tyralta: http://www.tyratherman.com/Just_Tyra/_.html
DeleteHei! luin, että teetätit tatuointisi Turussa... Haluaisitko paljastaa missä kävit nuo ottamassa, sillä työn jälki näyttää hyvin laadukkaalta ja olen Turun seudulta etsimässä tatuoijaa itselleni :) Kuva (kuvat) olisi jo valmiina, mutta en ole vielä löytänyt mieleistäni käden jälkeä..
ReplyDeleteIhana blogi, aina jaksaa lukea tämän <3
Haluan paljastaa! Kamuni Tuula tekee tatuointini, suosittelen erittäin lämpimästi. :)

Thank you Dawn! :)
DeleteWow, such a beautiful look! I love your style and tattoos.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much! :)
DeleteI was really looking forward to turning blank 365 pages this year, this 2013. was really tough, who would have thought that number 13 could jinx a goth, right?
ReplyDeleteHappy NEW Year Miss Moth, you looked beautiful <3
“I hope that in this year to come, you make mistakes.
Because if you are making mistakes, then you are making new things, trying new things, learning, living, pushing yourself, changing yourself, changing your world. You're doing things you've never done before, and more importantly, you're Doing Something.
So that's my wish for you, and all of us, and my wish for myself. Make New Mistakes. Make glorious, amazing mistakes. Make mistakes nobody's ever made before. Don't freeze, don't stop, don't worry that it isn't good enough, or it isn't perfect, whatever it is: art, or love, or work or family or life.
Whatever it is you're scared of doing, Do it.
Make your mistakes, next year and forever.”
― Neil Gaiman

I think you'll like it (:
Thank you sweetie! And true, it's a little funny how number 13 backfired so badly. But it's all in the past now!
DeleteAnd oh my, Neil is always a true wizard of words. <3 I agree 100% with what he says, mistakes are vital for progress of life and soul. All the worst mistakes were always the greatest of teachers.
The song sounds pretty nice, the melody reminds me of Scarborough Fair.
Kiva kynsi-idea, taidanki matsia sua jossai vaiheessa ku jaksaski ehkä laittaa kynsiä xD
ReplyDeleteKiitti! Saa matkia.
DeleteHappy New Year, MothMouth!
ReplyDeleteI really hope that this brand new year to be full of happiness, new histories and all that is beautiful in life. Good vibrations to you from the other side of the ocean, hah ^^
Oh, and keep beautiful as always!
Kisses!
Thank you so much for your sweet words Thamy! <3

ReplyDeletetää lähtee kyl seuraukseen :)
Voi kiitos paljon! Muotihirmua musta ei saa kyllä tekemälläkään ;)
DeleteDear Moth, i have some kind of little wish: one day, would you show your makeup collection and favorite things? I am very interested in stuff like this and i just love the way how you do your makeups.
ReplyDeleteThanks Anon! I can't promise anything, but I'm keeping your request in the back of my mind. I'm actually not a big make-up shopper and I stick with products I like, so my collection isn't all that big. :)
DeleteHappy New Year kitten! You look as braw as ever! May 2014 bring you all that you wish to earn! Zoë x
ReplyDeleteThank you Zoë sweetie! I wish the same for you. :)
DeleteHi beautiful :) I've got one extremely important question. What kind of base do u use or what's the brand? I have got a huge problem with my fair face color that is why I'm asking couse your looks immaculately. Your tip can makes my life easier xD and Happy New Year! <3
ReplyDeleteGreeting from Poland!
Guillotine.
Hello Guillotine! I currently use two different base options - Everyday Minerals powder in Fair Neutral paired up with Lily Lolo's Barely Beige cover-up, and the other one is Missha's Perfect Cover BB Cream in the shade 13 (for matte base, any translucent powder on top will make it). I've searched that these brands are also cruelty-free. Hope this helps! :)
DeleteRiimut kynsissä on kyl mahtava idea, näyttävät niin siisteiltä!♥
