Today is a rare event, both Friday the 13th and full moon. Hope you've all had a good day without any severe misfortunes! Mine has felt exceptionally lucky, something that's also been rare these days. But it feels like the winds are starting to blow in more positive directions, shedding negativity away like snakeskin and letting new things in.

One of my many goals for this summer season is to adapt to the heat rather than complaining about it, because that obviously gets you nowhere. This mindset has actually worked like a charm, I'm happy with the heat as long as I have my SPF50 and can escape direct sunlight to the shadows. Transparent maxi dresses have felt like the best thing to put on when the quicksilver speaks with tropical numbers. (They also neatly cover up all summer scars, derby battle bruises and mosquito bites!)
I've went with more casual looks like this one lately, adding large jewelry pieces to minimalistic outfits. Do you have any summer style favourites?
You look absolutely stunning! I love your dress, could you please put a link here when you got it on eBay ? Thanks!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much! I got it some time ago so I don't remember the seller, but the dress can be found through any "long black chiffon dress"-search, tons of stores seem to sell the same design. :)
DeleteThank you <3
DeleteIhana mekko! <3__<3 onko niitä vielä ebayssa?
ReplyDeleteOn toki, tuo "long black chiffon dress" haku näyttäisi ainakin päräyttävän ruudulle samanmoisia :)
DeleteI usually choose long skirts and dresses during the Summer as well. :-) I wonder, what temperature do you consider to be hot in Finland? And, what is your favourite sunscreen? I'm still looking for the perfect sunscreen... and I still hope it has to exist. :-D
ReplyDeleteThese photos were taken on a day when it was well over +30 degrees, so I consider that pretty hot! Some thermometers even said +34°C but it's hard to believe that as it didn't seem too scorching outside.
DeleteI try to avoid direct sunlight so that I don't have to slap too much chemicals on my skin, but I currently use SebaMed's SPF50 multi protect sun lotion. It has vitamin E, no perfumes, no parabens, and it is also cruelty-free, so it works fine for me! It's still a little sticky though, but I don't mind.
*-* You are so awesome!
ReplyDeleteI'm in awe, thank you! <3
DeleteWow you look stunning! And that hair <3 How do you keep it so straight? O____o And what do you think about silicone based hair products?
ReplyDeleteThank you so much! <3 I don't do anything special to keep it so straight, it's just what it is. Personally I don't use silicone based hair products on my hair care routine, I prefer natural oils over them. Silicone products may offer smoother hair with that waterproof layer that they provide, making the hair more manageable, but I don't think they're good in the long run. Not for the scalp, and not for the environment. But that's just my opinion!
DeleteI've missed your posts I'm glad to hear that things are going a lot better for you now.
ReplyDeleteThank you, sweet Sophie!

ReplyDeleteThank you <3
DeleteI love your dress. I have something very similar that I accessorize and sometimes wear an underbust corset with, depending on the occassion and how hot it is.
ReplyDeleteThanks Sylvie! Underbust corset combo sounds great :)
DeleteJumalaisen kauniita kuvia!
ReplyDeleteVoi kiitos ihana! :)
DeleteOnpa kaunis maximekko ja miten kauniit kuvat! ♥ Kesällä jotenkin alkaa kaipaamaan tuollaisia hyvin laskeutuvia ja kevyitä vaatteita, itsekkin olen iskenyt silmäni yhteen sifonkiseen maximekkoon ja muutenkin sifonki sekä organza ovat alkaneet innostaa materiaaleina ompelemisessa. ^^
ReplyDeleteKiitos paljon Vivian! :) Multakin löytyisi kaapista sifonkikankaita mutten ole vielä saanut aikaiseksi ommella niistä mitään, jotenkin vaan tuntuu ettei ole mikään ihan helpoin ompelumateriaali, ainakaan mun pienelle ompelukoneenpahaselle..
Deletegorgeous
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteWau, aivan upea mekko! Näytät niin kauniilta *__*
ReplyDeleteKiitos hirveän paljon! <3

DeleteBORING. You are boring.
ReplyDeleteWell, no one forces you to read this blog. :)
DeleteLove your dress! I dreamt about a dress just like that few days ago! haha Since then, I want to draw the sketch and sew it.
ReplyDeleteYou've been such a huge inspiration for me about how to wear some kind of pieces without making them look "too much" and still look like me. Thank you so much for that.
You're unique <3
Ps: I'm from brazilian northeast so I know what you mean when you say +30 degrees is hot. Here is a very usual temperature u.u
Ps²: I'm always waiting for your makeup, hair, nails and other cool stuff tutorials </3
Thank you very much for your kindness Anna, means a lot to me! <3 You should definitely sew the dress, I'm sure it would look beautiful and unique.
DeleteI'm not really the tutorial kind of a type and have only posted them scarcely (I leave the expertise to beauty bloggers), but I do love spreading the photos of my creations when the feeling comes! I feel so inspired by a few beauty picks at the moment that maybe I should post about them. We'll see!
You're gorgeous! The dress is fabulous :)
ReplyDeleteThank you so much Teky! :)
