For days now I've dipped myself soul-deep in Sylvia Plath and tried to chase away the all too familiar spring gloom. On the vanity side I've twisted my hair in a vintage flair, worn light dresses that are too cold for the season and sharpened my nails. Both literally and figuratively.
If I could have three (practical) little wishes for today, I'd wish that my computer would stop dying so I could finish some projects, the ability to spin more threads into the web of time and my future plans to clear up a little more. It's exhilarating and frustrating at the same time, to have your life board upside down and all the pieces scattered around, without any certainty of how exactly the pieces will regroup. I don't know what tomorrow brings or what will happen next month, but things have a tendency of turning out like they should! Luckily so. I just need to be very patient this spring. Not my redeeming quality, but I'll do my best!
I love your hair, I can't wait to have mine long enough to curl them the way you do! And your bang is back. You're lovely :)
ReplyDeleteI never considered sharpening my nails this way, but I admit with black polish it looks perfect.
I'm glad to see that you're back. My daily web experience isn't the same without your posts! You're so inspiring and you encourage me to continue on the path I took a few months ago.
I plan to visit Berlin in a few weeks, would you mind sharing a few info? Can I contact you?
Thank you for your words sweet Celine! I love stiletto nails, in the photo they're not even so sharp as I like them to be, meow. And I'm so glad to be back, even more so to hear my posts have been missed. I've missed blogging dearly, but sometimes it's necessary to take some time off the grid.
DeleteAnd sure you can contact me, I'd be glad to help! I'm not an expert on Berlin but I can share a few tips if you want me to. :) Here's my mail: mothmouth.blog@gmail.com
You look so evil. That's a good thing.

Luckily that quality is limited to my looks only! Or I hope so, at least. ♥
DeleteI love the dress! :)
ReplyDeleteThank you Claudia! I've been wearing it a bit too much lately, but I just like it so much!
Deletethat dress is so pretty ^^
ReplyDeletex<3
Thank you, I really like it too!
DeleteThat dress is so dreamy! You look amazing!

Thanks so much Dawn!
DeleteJust keeping believing that the right path will come to you, even though they may criss-cross a few times and again.
ReplyDeleteSure it will, I just have to wait patiently and walk forward. It's just that the uncertainty has been lingering in my life for a while now and I'm slowly getting tired of it, a piece of clarity would be welcomed. :)
DeleteBut you are oh so young with so much talent and beyond beautiful!
DeleteCome visit us in America! Have you been here before? Maybe a far away travel can help <3
You're so sweet to say so Dana, thank you! <3
DeleteI have been to America once, to visit my aunt. I've only been to Florida though, so I'd lovelovelove to explore the States more! If I had the money I'd book the tickets right away. I'd especially love to see New England, Louisiana and the deepest fir tree regions of Washington state. And well, basically every place. Texas too! :)
Smooch!
DeleteIn the third pic you look like an upscale model with heroin chic, bravo! :) Have you noticed how developed your natural talent for shooting? Year after year, by this blog we can trace the disclosure of your abilities, and it is fantastic. And of course, I can not ignore these shoes - they are incredibly elegant)
ReplyDeleteThank you Grace! Or I think it was a compliment? ;) Hehe.
DeleteI'm really happy to hear that the progress shows! It's been a long time since I started after all. I just hope I can get a better camera soon as this old one doesn't match my photographic needs anymore.
Oh God, of course I don't mean to offend you! How can I say something bad about my favorite Black Dahlia? :)
DeleteI'm wondering, have you ever received negative comments at all?!
Hehe, I didn't take it in a bad way at all, don't worry! Of course every blogger receives negative comments sometimes, and I have published mine. With a few exceptions; if the comment strongly offends my loved ones or is clearly too vulgar to be published, I don't see the point in publishing. But usually I just have the best readers and kindest comments, I can't believe how wonderful you guys are! <3
Delete"It's exhilarating and frustrating at the same time, to have your life board upside down and all the pieces scattered around" Why is that? :O None of us know what will happen the next day. I think we should live day by day!
ReplyDeleteYou're absolutely right! And I do usually focus on the moment. But now I just don't know what will happen with a few big things in my life, all I can do is wait. And the way those things go pretty much determine the course of my path. On the other hand I do enjoy the drifting, the only frustrating feeling about it is the constant uncertainty, when you can't go forward until you know some things for sure.
DeleteYou look very pretty with this dress, it's just beautiful. I wish I had your figure. And I know the feeling very well when nothing about the future is clear and you just have a few pieces between your fingers but in the end you will always see a way. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks so much! I'm sure your figure is beautiful, no need to wish for mine. :) And you're right, things will always clear up.
DeleteI am in love with that dress and the way you did your hair and the stockings - oh everything!
ReplyDeleteI sympathize with the dreadful feeling of uncertainty. Things aren't great right now for me and I seem to be low on patience. I'm trying to remember that eventually this will just be a part of my past. Doing the little things in life that make me happy until I can do the bigger things. I wish you all the best!
Oh thank you! It always helps me in tough situations to think that life itself is wonderful all the time, it's just the life situation that sucks at that moment. And all shall pass. I truly hope things will turn out for the best for you! :)
DeleteSo stunning. I always feel like reading Sylvia Plath in the spring, too.
ReplyDeleteMacie,
Amen Fashion †
Thanks so much Macie! I don't know why, but spring always feels like the most depressing time. Maybe that triggers the urge to read a lot of Sylvia, although I love to read her regardless of the season!
DeleteIt's how life is, I also have little patience for the vicissitudes of life, but that is the way it is... sometimes it's needed because life can bring some great surprises in those moments, but I kinda like stability. It's not a thing we should be attached too much because life is movement. even if we want it or not... Hope everything goes fine for you!
ReplyDeleteBTW, loved the outfit. Xoxo
Thank you! I love the movement in life, so it's hard when things are still and not progressing anywhere. It's hard to endure a situation when you feel the need to move forward and can't, because the change doesn't depend entirely on you. But this situation will surely pass at some point. :)
DeleteTodella ihana asu, rakastuin tuohon mekkoon!
ReplyDeleteTsemppiä tähän kevääseen :)
Kiitos Elisabet! :)
DeleteBeautiful as always:)
ReplyDeleteIt is inspiring how you try to give things a positive turn even though "life board can be upside down and all the pieces scattered around"!
Xo, Bunny
Thanks so much Bunny! :)
DeleteI loved everything: dress, tights, necklace... and of course, Sylvia plath. I love her poems! You look stunning and your blog is my favorite!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for your kind words, Erika! <3
DeleteNice style. And amazing makeup. I'm admire your makeup application big-time.
ReplyDeleteSanalla sanoen aivan upea kokonaisuus, unohtamatta Sylvia Plathia! !
ReplyDeleteVoi kiitos hirveän paljon! Sylvian sanat on upeita, harva runoilija pääsee samalla voimalla omaan ytimeen.
DeleteSun blogisi on kyllä aivan vastustamaton!
ReplyDeleteHui miten ihana kommentti, kiitos! Toit valtavan hymyn kasvoille! <3
Deletehello:) could u recommend me a sylvia plath book, poetry :)
ReplyDeleteWow. You are absolutely stunning!
ReplyDeleteMoikka! Tämmöset kommentit on aina vähän rasittavia, anteeksi. Pakko vaan kysäistä että ostitko mekkosi ihan Widown virallisilta sivuilta? Postituskulut on aika kamalat...
ReplyDeleteMoikka!
